This event pays the low net teams that return the hot ball to the pro shop. Four teams were successful. We also pay a consolation for the lowest net team that did not make it to the club house with the red ball. Next week we are playing a modified Stableford event. Individual low net. Next week is “Scotch Points”, which is a modified Stableford. It is also our first shotgun; everyone will start at 8:00. The club will buy beer after the round for all that played. After 10 last week, there was only one deuce this week. No Pot of golf winner. No scores in the net 60’s (again) but there were some excellent scores. Steve Nicholas shot 37-39, Derek Morrison shot 36 on the back and Keith Hebert (welcome Keith) shot 39 on the back. Only three teams returned the “Hot Ball”. Two were tied with net 59. Team 7 tied Jim Furyk’s record 58 but couldn’t get the “Hot Ball” to the pro shop. Next week we are playing “Scotch Points”, a modified Stableford.
